I love exploring new areas, going on exciting adventures, and seeing beautiful views, all while getting in a fun and enjoyable workout.

For a good hike, though, you also need hiking snacks. Whether I’m hiking, biking, or something else, I always bring a snack. Lately, I’ve been making more homemade hiking snacks. Homemade ones are great for a lot of reasons, and one of them is that homemade hiking snacks usually taste better and are healthier than what you may find at the store.

Plus, making them at home means you will probably even save a good amount of money. Hiking snacks at the grocery store are not cheap!

  2. One thing I learned is that when I eat mixed nuts or Cashews unsalted, it not only reduces my food cravings, but it also helps me to increase intake of Fiber, contribute to losing weight, and helps me stay on track with “eating right.”

  4. I personally prefer to take items that don’t melt or get sticky. Fruit is a great snack and it’s portable. Sandwiches made from crackers or wraps.

    How about healthy snacks with no added sugar? Is it possible, ‘Merica?
    Or do we love our metabolic disease and obesity that much? We can’t even post healthy hiking snacks that are whole foods like nuts and apples that have fiber. Always that added sugar. It’s an addiction.
